Dining Assistant's Manual

Dining assistant programs are designed to reduce the number of complaints from nursing home residents about nutrition services. Although many states now allow these programs in long-term care facilities, nursing homes have been slow to establish them. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid have created a handbook for implementing a dining assistant program. It provides simple steps and examples for structuring these programs without large expenditures.  Click here for the manual
